Elon Musk says SpaceX’s AI agent, Grok Bot, will use models from Suno.

In a post on X Wednesday, Oct. 7, Musk wrote: “Important note regarding Grok @Bot: Going forward, @SpaceX will use the best back end model for any given task, including Claude Opus 5.5, MidJourney, Suno and other leading APIs. Whatever is most likely to give you the best outcome.”

Grok Bot is an agent app from SpaceXAI, the former xAI, and launched in beta in August. Musk said Oct. 4 that the company will be renamed again at some point to SpaceXSI — reflecting U.S. President Donald Trump's insistence of replacing "artificial intelligence" with the term "superior intelligence."

The post does not say which tasks would be routed to which model, when the change would take effect, or how SpaceX would access Suno. Suno has no official public API. Chief Product Officer Jack Brody said in a July 1 LinkedIn post that the company was exploring a developer API, starting with a curated group of partners, MBW reported.

Two of the companies named in Musk’s post share another problem. Round Hill Music sued both Suno and Anthropic on Aug. 17, saying total damages in each case could approach or exceed $1 billion.
