Music Submission Terms

Last updated October 21, 2026

Who We Are

Zinstrel is an independent music publication. We write about, review and promote music. We are not a streaming service, distributor, label or host: we do not store, sell or distribute your audio files, and submitting to us does not place your music in any store or streaming catalogue.

How Your Music Appears

Submissions are links and information. Any music we feature plays through official embeds or links from the services where it already lives, such as Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Bandcamp or ElevenMusic. Those services control playback, availability and their own terms. If you remove a track there, its embed stops working here.

What You Confirm

By submitting, you confirm that you are the artist or are authorised by the rights holders to submit the release, and that the artwork, photos, bio, credits and other details you send are yours to share or used with permission. You also confirm the information is accurate, including how the work was made and which tools were used.

Permission You Give Us

You give Zinstrel a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to display, quote, excerpt, review and promote the material you submit — including your artwork, bio, credits, links and public embeds — on zinstrel.com, in our newsletters, on our radio and video channels and on our social media accounts. This permission covers publicity and editorial use only. You keep full ownership of your music and materials.

Editorial Independence

Submitting does not guarantee coverage, a review, a playlist spot, airplay or social posts. Every submission is read by an editor, and what we publish, when, and what we say about it is our editorial decision. Reviews are honest opinions and may be critical. We never charge a fee to consider a submission, and paying for advertising never buys coverage or a favourable review.

Tagging and Credit

When we feature your release we credit the artist and may tag the social handles you provide. Published articles, reviews and roundups are Zinstrel's editorial work and may remain in our archive.

What We Won't Accept

We may decline or remove any submission, including material that infringes someone else's rights, impersonates another artist, contains hateful or unlawful content, or misrepresents how it was made.

Corrections and Removal

If details are wrong or you would like your release listing taken down, email admin@zinstrel.com and we will correct or remove it promptly. Published editorial pieces may be updated or annotated rather than deleted.

Everything Else

These terms sit alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which also apply. We may update them; the date above shows the latest version, and submitting after a change means you accept it. They are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA.
