The Sonic Intelligence Academy (SIQA) is going from the charts to a red carpet.
SIQA — known for its AI music charts — has announced the first-annual AI Music Awards (AIMAs)— a two-day event Nov. 12–13 in Downtown Los Angeles, pairing an industry summit with what organizers are billing as the first awards ceremony for AI music decided by verified AI artists rather than algorithmic charts.
Day one is the SIQA Summit: a single-track day of panels, keynotes, and demo lounges built around the people making the platforms and the music, followed same-day by a "Premiere Ceremony" for craft, community, and innovation honors and a networking mixer.
Day two moves to The Mayan, the landmark 1927 Downtown LA venue, for the main event — red carpet arrivals, hybrid human-plus-AI live performances, and 13 categories presented on stage, building to AI Song of the Year, with a global livestream.
In total, SIQA has laid out 25 categories across six fields:
General (Song, Artist, Album, and Producer of the Year)
Artist & Performance
Classification (AI-Assisted and Human+AI Hybrid songs)
and ten genre-song plus six genre-artist categories spanning R&B, country, gospel, pop, rock/alt, hip-hop, international, comedic, musical theatre, and jazz.
Every nominee has to clear the SIQA Registry's verification process — the same infrastructure behind SIQA's weekly AI Music Charts. The lone exception is the Off the Charts Spotlight Award, sourced from SIQA's Off the Charts live series and decided by public vote; SIQA says full methodology, eligibility windows, and ethics rules for the rest will publish before voting opens.
Tickets for the awards show are on sale now at $250, with the venue capped at 600 seats and fewer than 100 held for public sale — a scarcity model that signals SIQA is positioning this as an industry-insider night first, public spectacle second. Summit tickets are expected soon, with VIP requests for the awards night open by invitation.
Zinstrel will be on the ground for both days. Editor Marcus Lawrence sits on SIQA's Creative Advisory Council and will be covering the summit and ceremony in person, with participation in the summit programming itself — putting Zinstrel inside the room for what's shaping up as the AI music industry's first attempt at a traditional-awards-show moment, verification credentials and all.
