Hookpad Aria

Hookpad is Hooktheory's music-theory-aware songwriting app, where you write in scale degrees and chord functions so it's hard to play a wrong note. Aria is its generative AI assistant, which suggests chord progressions, melodies and continuations that fit what you've written, trained on Hooktheory's large database of analyzed pop songs. It's popular with songwriters and students who want to understand why ideas work, not just get them. Aria is a paid add-on on top of Hookpad's Standard plan.
