Champagne Coast

Producer

Champagne Coast is the independent creative project of veteran music industry executive Lee Chesnut. Following a 14-year tenure with NBC’s "The Voice" and decades in A&R at Republic Records (where he signed Chumbawamba) and Epic Records (Executive Producer for Donna Summer’s final gold album)—alongside a career-defining turn by single-handedly breaking Chris Isaak’s "Wicked Game" on the radio—Chesnut now steps from behind the console to the center of his own sound.

Blending chill, downtempo electronica with the nostalgic textures of 1980s synth-pop, Champagne Coast bridges classic songwriting with cutting-edge production. While modern generative AI tools assist in shaping the sonic landscape, every track is driven entirely by BMI-affiliated songwriter Chesnut’s deliberate lyrics, melodic vision, and executive direction. Technology serves as the ultimate modern instrument—an extension of human intent designed to deliver lush, cosmic, and intimate soundscapes.
